Srinagar- A joint team of police and security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Kursu Padshahi Bagh area in Srinagar on Monday, following reports of suspicious movement in the area.
Witnesses said that a door to door search, which continued for around three hours, was conducted at Naikpora locality in Padshahi Bagh following inputs about the suspicious movement in the area.
Joint team of forces comprising police and CRPF arrived in the locality this afternoon and conducted door to door searches besides checking identity cards of the inmates.
A police official, while confirming the searches in the locality, said the CASO was launched following a tip off about the suspicious movement, however no contact was established or none arrested.
