Srinagar- After enthralling the ambience with his soul-soothing recitation of the holy Quran at central Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, an internationally accredited reciter of the revealed book, Qari Yusef Ghanbari from the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited several revered shrines in the city including Dargah Hazratbal and Dastgeer Sahab (RA) shrine on Monday.
After Zuhr (afternoon) prayers, Qari Yusef left the audience at the revered Jamia Masjid in a state of spirituality by reciting verses from the holy Quran, with worshippers chanting Nara-e-Takbeer, Allahu Akbar (Allah is greatest of all).
Worshippers, after the culmination of Tilawat-e-Kalam Pak (recitation of Quran) at Jamia Masjid, hugged the Islamic scholar and sought his blessings for the Ummah.
Talking to the media on the occasion, Qari Yusef said he was overwhelmed by the love and hospitality of people of Kashmir during his stay in Kashmir.
“I visited Jamia Masjid, Dargah Hazratbal and other revered shrines of Kashmir. I am grateful to the Almighty Allah for the love and respect I received in Kashmir,” he added.
He claimed that his main objective to travel India was to ‘propagate’ the teachings of the prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the message of the holy Quran.
“I was fascinated during my interactions with the Kashmiri people. I am grateful to Allah almighty for this wonderful journey.” said Qari Yusef.
Pertinent to mention that an internationally acclaimed Quran reciter from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Qari Ehsan Bayat Hamdani had on April 13 mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice, breathe control and engaging tone at the historic Jamia Masjid,
On behalf of the head of Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the honorable guest and his companions were warmly welcomed by the officials of the Anjuman, Haji Altaf Ahmad Bhat, Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon and Maulana M S Rehman Shams. They were honored with Kashmiri traditional shawls.
