Stolen Property Including Gold, Cash Recovered, 3 Vehicles Seized

Srinagar- City police claimed to have busted an inter-district gang of thieves by arresting eleven persons including three members of a family, from different districts of the valley, and recovered stolen goods including gold and cash from their possession.
Police said four main accused of the case were arrested from Pulwama and Kulgam districts of south Kashmir while.
Four have been identified as Qayoom Ahmad Guroo of Gund Rabitar Ganderbal and Nazakat Ahmad Khan of Bathindi Jammu, who were arrested from Naina Batapora in Pulwama while two others, Tasleem Guroo and Arif Guroo both residents of Gund Rabitar were arrested from Amono area of Kulgam.
A formal case under FIR number 18 of 2023 under sections 457,380,411 IPC stands registered in Police Station Sadder in this regard.
Talking to Kashmir Observer Station House Officer (SHO) police station Sadder, Mudasir Nazar said the accused were arrested following a complaint regarding burglary at Rawatpura Bhagat area in uptown Srinagar on the night intervening March 2 and 3.
He said as soon as the complaint was received, investigation was taken up in the matter and eleven members of the gang including three members of a single family were arrested during raids from the different parts of the valley.
SHO Sadder said the gang was operated by three brothers from the same family, who closely coordinated these thefts in different districts across the valley.
“Stolen property including 168 grams of gold, Cash Rs 70000 and 02 Vehicles Belanoo bearing registration number JK05H 4535, Alto JK13 F 4524 and a Pulsar motorbike were recovered from their possession,” SHO said adding, 72 grams gold (consisting jewellery items) were stolen from Ravatpora Bhagat area in March this year.
Five more accused, who police said were receivers of stolen property, were arrested from Ganderbal and Baramulla districts in different raids.
Others were arrested in connection with the instant case have been identified as Shareef Ahmad Guroo son of Mohammad Shafi of Rabtar Gund Roshan Ganderbal, Sameer Hussain son of Ghulam Hussain of Sultanpora Pattan, Asif Hussain Dar son of Ghulam Hussain Dar of Sultanpora pattan, Shabaz Hussain Laway son of Mohammad Afzal Laway of Sultanpora Pattan, Abdul Rashid Guroo son of Sanullaha Guroo of Rabtar Gund Roshan Ganderbal, Mohd Haneef Guroo son of Sanullaha Guroo of Rabtar Gund Roshan and Mohammad Maqbool Laway son of Ghulam Mohammad Laway of Sultanpora Pattan.
SHO sadder said investigation into the case is ongoing at the moment.
