Thousands of Muslims in Kashmir staged marches after Friday prayers to express solidarity with Palestinians and demand freedom for Al Aqsa Mosque, the first Qibla of Islam. Demonstrations were held across Kashmir with hundreds of thousands joining prayers at Dargah Hazratbal. People carried flags of Palestine and portraits of resistance leaders and denounced Zionist crimes in occupied Palestine. Speakers addressed the crowd, raising their voices against the US and Israel. Al Aqsa, also known as Masjid-al-Aqsa, is the first Qibla and third holiest place in Islam. It has been under Israeli occupation since 1948, and the protests aimed to bring attention to the ongoing issue.
