SRINAGAR- Downtown Heroes FC registered a thumping 2-0 win against Techtro Swades United FC on Friday at Minerva Academy Ground, Chnadigarh in the ongoing 2nd Division I-League.
Continuing their efforts to boost local talent, Downtown Heores fielded a playing eleven that included nine local players. The club’s trust in Kashmir’s local talent has started reaping fruits.
Ateeb Ahmed Dar scored the first goal in the 25th minute of first half while Sufiyan Shaikh doubled the Downtown Heroes’ lead in 73rd minute of second half. Techtro was reduced to 10 men after one of their players received a red card in the 71st minute.
With this win, Downtown Heores have risen to second in Group A points table, taking seven points from five games. They next face Mumbai City FC in Mumbai on April 12.
