SRINAGAR- The J&K women’s football team left for Chattisgarh on Thursday to participate in the upcoming 27th Senior Women’s National Football Championship 2022-23, which is the premier competition for women’s teams representing regional and state football associations.
J&K is in Group IV and will face Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Ladakh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. The Ladakh football team is making its debut in the national championship.
The 23-member J&K side will be led by Team Manager Javed Ahmad, Head Coach Fayaz Ahmad, Assistant Coach Qudsiya Altaf and Physiotherapist Insha Nazir.
J&K Squad
Goalkeepers: Arpita Mahajan, Neetika Thapa.
Defenders: Aaliya Ali, Seerat Zahoor, Ruqaya, Afreena Aamir, Sarmat Rafiq, Manali Mahajan.
Midfielders: Shabnam Hussain, Patanjali, Zaara Riaz, Kehkashan, Khursheed, Numra Tariq Chat, Charu Sharma, Tanishqua Pal Kour, Prinka Sharma, Ritika Devi, Somiya Dubey, Shranya Devi.
Forwards: Tanzeela Zaffar, Shaista Hassan, Mehroosh Aslam Baba.
