SRINAGAR- ADGP Armed J&K S.J.M Gillani-IPS convened a meeting of concerned officers and officials on Saturday to review the final arrangements and preparations for the smooth and successful conduct of 71st B.N Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2022-23. The championship is being hosted by Jammu and Kashmir Police from 11th-21st March 2023 at Bakshi Stadium, in which football teams from across the country are participating.
A draw of lots for distributing the teams into groups and rehearsal ceremony for the opening ceremony of the championship were also held on the occasion.
The meeting convened and presided by the ADGP Armed J&K was attended by all the managers of football teams, designated nodal officers, members of J&K Football Association alongwith technical officers for carrying out different activities related to the event.
Group (A) teams: CRPF, SSB, Sikkim and Chhattisgarh
Group (B) teams: West Bengal Police, HP Police, Chandigarh and RPF
Group (C): CISF, Maharashtra, Odisha and ITBP
Group (D): Mizoram Police, Gujarat Police, Jharkhand and MP
Group (E): Assam Rifles, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Manipur and Puducherry
Group (F): Punjab Police, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Telangana
Group (G): Kerala Police, Arunachal Police, Bihar and J&K
Group (H): BSF, Haryana, Delhi, Assam and Goa
The opening ceremony is scheduled for today.
