SRINAGAR- Real Kashmir FC is all set to take on Mumbai Kenkre FC in I-League today, Thursday, March 2, at Synthetic Turf TRC here. The match will kick off at 2:00 PM and will be the Srinagar-based football club’s final home match of the 2022-23 season.
Real Kashmir come into the home tie undefeated in last five games and would hope to solidify their position in the top half of the I-League table. Mumbai Kenkre, on the other hand, are on a winless streak in six matches and lie toward the bottom half of the table.
The change in Real Kashmir’s recent fortune is down to the newly appointed technical director Gifton Noel-Williams. The Englishman has turned the Snow Leopards’ season around and knows his side face a tough opponent in Mumbai Kenkre.
“Even though Kenkre are one of the bottom sides, they have many good players and play good football. If we are not at our best, they can beat us. We will play our game, move the ball around and make things difficult for Kenkre,” Noel-Williams told AIFF.
The head coach also had a message for the fans:
“I hope we will get many fans in the stadium tomorrow. It is our last home game of the season and the players will give their hundred percent to win it for all the supporters.”
