JAMMU- The closing ceremony of the 25th J&K Taekwondo Championships was held on Wednesday at Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, Parade in Jammu. The Championship was organised by J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd.) under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).
The championship served as a selection process for the upcoming National Championships.
The championship used the latest sensor scoring system for a fair competition and all the referees/officials were from different states of India and the whole event was observed by Brinder Singh Manhas (TD, JKTA).
The competition hosted divisions with inclusion of the youngest age division (Pee Wee) and a massive skill show was witnessed between the Junior and Senior competitions. Around 400 participants from across 20 Districts participated in the tournament.
The organising committee was headed by Vinod Grewal (Overall Incharge). The referee committee was headed by Harish Tokas (PSS, In charge) amd Zaheer Abbas (Sher-i-Kashmir Awardee).
