SRINAGAR- Real Kashmir FC will take on Aizawl FC in I-League today, Tuesday, February 21, at Synthetic Turf TRC here. The match is slated for a 2:00 PM kick off.
Real Kashmir seem to have found their mojo back under their new head coach/technical director Gifton Noel-Williams. After enduring a winless away form for the early part of 2023, Real Kashmir has now won 7 points from a possible 9. This included a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Mohammedan Sporting last week.
The win would have lifted the Snow Leopards’ morale going into the final stretch of I-League games.
“It was a good game, everyone was happy. Following the win, there has been a different energy in the dressing room, a good energy. Everyone is giving their best in the training. The recent form has really kept the mood going and everyone wants to win,” Real Kashmir’s Gifton Noel-Williams told AIFF at a pre-match press conference.
Speaking about Tuesday’s Aizawl clash, Noel-Williams believes it will be a game of unpredictable outcome.
“It’s a game against a really good team. Aizawl have exciting young players. In our recent games, there have been a lot of late goals, disappointments etc. I expect the game against Aizawl to be a similar affair,” he said.
“Come out and support your team,” Noel-Williams’ asked Real Kashmir fans.
“In our last game, I believe it was the fans who inspired the team to get the winner. So my only message for them is to come out, be the 12th man and help us win games,” he added.
