SRINAGAR- Real Kashmir FC continued its winless away form in I-League after drawing 0-0 against Churchill Brothers FC on Tuesday at Tilak Maidan in Vasco de Gama, Goa.
The Snow Leopards will be happy with this point as playing the Red Machines at their home turf is never easy.
Both teams had chances to score in the first half. However, Real Kashmir were off to a quick start as Loken Meitei headed over the bar in the first minute of the match, while forward Ibrahim Nurudeen shot straight at the opposing goalie in the 16th minute.
The early pressure seemed to have woken up Churchill Brothers, who then forced Real Kashmir goalkeeper Subashish Roy into making a diving save.
The second half was a different story as both teams created little to break the opposition and turned into a midfield slugfest. However, the Snow Leopards will be happier of the two sides, as the Srinagar-based team held on to grab a valuable point.
Churchill Brothers defender Lamgoulen was awarded the man of the match award.
The win lifted Real Kashmir to fourth in the I-League table, taking 19 points from 13 matches. Real Kashmir next play table-toppers RoundGlass Punjab on January 27 at Tau Devi Lal Football Stadium in Panchkula, Haryana.
