SRINAGAR- ‘Jammu Express’ Umran Malik clocked 156 kmph to break his own record of the fastest bowl bowled by an Indian bowler in international cricket. Umran achieved the feat in the first ODI between India and Sri Lanka at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati on Tuesday.
The speedy delivery was bowled in his second over of the match and broke Umran’s previous record of 155 kmph, which came only a week ago during the 1st T20I against the same opposition in Mumbai.
Jasprit Bumrah held the previous record when he bowled 153.36 kmph.
Umran Malik was the best bowler on the night, too. Taking 3/57 in his 8 overs, the Jammu-born pacer snapped up Pathum Nissanka (72), Charith Asalanka (23) and Dunith Wellalage (0).
Umran Malik’s fastest delivery yet was clocked at 156.9 in IPL 2022.
