Srinagar- An international conference titled “Imam Hussain and Orientalism” is being held in Karbala, Iraq in May next year and organisers are inviting research papers from across the world.
According to organisers the conference would “review the Orientalists’ attitudes, views, and reflections on Imam al-Husayn, his life and times and the Ashura episode”.
The extended deadline for submission of papers is 15th of March 2023 and conference will be held on May 12-13, 2023 at the sacred shrine of Imam Hussain, Dr. Muhammad-Reza Fakhr-Rohani told Kashmir Observer.
He further said that the papers may be written in Arabic, Persian, or English and must be sent to the conference secretariat on email: [email protected].
