Srinagar- A middle-aged man on Thursday was attacked and injured by a black bear in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
55-year-old Mohammad Maqbool Dar of Nusipora village was attacked by bear in Haaji Check village of the district on Thursday evening, reports said. Dar received injuries in the surprise bear attack and was rushed to district hospital Pulwama for treatment. His condition is said to be stable.
Meanwhile, reports added that a team of Wildlife department has rushed to the spot to track down the beast. The villagers have also been advised to avoid venturing out unnecessarily.
