SRINAGAR- The Jammu & Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) resumed its offices at Bakshi Stadium on Wednesday after two decades.
“JKFA with the support of Secretary JKSC Nuzhat Gul resumed the office at famous Bakshi Stadium. Waseem Aslam Chairman JKFA along with Prof Bashir Gen Secretary and many prominent faces took over the space for official purposes of JKFA after the approval from Secretary JKSC,” a statement from the association said.
“It is a big day for JKFA where the space for the official purpose has been returned back to the JKFA after a long time. All the official correspondence and affairs of JKFA will now run through this office and it will now be the official address of JKFA,” Aslam said.
“This is nothing less than a new year gift from Secretary Sports Council to entire football fraternity. I, on behalf of JKFA and every stakeholder, would like to thank her for whatever she has done or can do for the development of football in entire UT of J&K,” Aslam added.
JKFA used to have its offices at Bakshi Stadium till late 1990s.
