Srinagar- Police on Friday filed chargesheet against an alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist arrested from central Kashmir’s Budgam district early this year.
The chargesheet was filed against Jahangir Ahmad Naikoo of Memander Shopian, a categorised member of LeT, who was arrested on January 20 this year with arms and ammunition, including a pistol from Chadoora area of the Budgam district, a police spokesperson said.
During the course of the investigation, he said, offenses under section 20, 23,38 UA(P) Act were established against Naikoo, who is presently lodged in Central Jail Srinagar.
Today, the chargesheet against the said militant was produced by police before the Court after obtaining necessary sanction from the competent authority, the spokesperson said.
