Srinagar- After a video of elderly people waiting to get age certificates outside District Medical Board, Jawahar Nagar went viral on social media, authorities later announced the age certificates will be issued at multiple locations in the city.
Pertinently, elderly people, widows and specially abled people who receive government assistance were being issued age certificates at Jawahar Nagar Office of District Medical Board.
Elderly, people had voiced resentment over the move saying that age certificates should be issued at other locations as well.
Later, the Chief Medical Officer Srinagar informed that age certificates which were earlier issued by District Medical Board, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar shall be issued zone wise.
“People from Zone Khanyar can obtain the given certificate from CHC Gousia, NTPHC Rainawari and for Zone Zadibal the same can be obtained from NTPHC Lal Bazar, PHC Zadibal” CMO in a statement said.
“PHC S. R. Gunj, NTPHC Narwara have been designated for people from Zone S. R. Gunj and further Trauma Centre Lawaypora, PHE Laloo, NTPHC Jawahar Nagar, PHC Lasjan have been nominated for Zone Batmaloo. People in need of age certificates are advised to visit the nearest centres”. the statement added.
