SRINAGAR- The Jammu and Kashmir cricket team on Tuesday morning defeated Nagaland by 66 runs to register their third win on the trot in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022.
Nagaland won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.
Fazil Rashid 85 (86) and Abid Mushtaq 62 (44) both displayed blistering performances to take J&K to 295/9 in 50 overs. In reply, the Nagaland side was bowled out for 196 in 44.3 overs. J&K’s Yudhvir Singh 4/54 (10), Sahil Lotra 2/19 (8) and Abid Mushtaq 2/37 (7.3) kept the Nagaland batters out of contention.
The J&K team has been in top form in the one-day tournament, stunning Ranji winners Madhya Pradesh on November 12, winning by 2 wickets in a high scoring fixture. J&K then defeated Baroda on November 13, scoring 282/6 and restricting their opponents to 188 all out.
J&K will next face Punjab on Thursday, November 17
