Srinagar- Unknown gunmen, suspected to be militants, late on Saturday fired upon and injured two labourers from Uttar Pradesh in Rakh-Momin area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, reports reaching here said.
“#Terrorists fired upon & injured two outside labourers in Rakh-Momin area of #Anantnag. Both the injured are being shifted to hospital for treatment. Area being #cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet.

Meanwhile sources identified the injured as Chota Pradas of Gorakhpur and Gobind of Kushinagar Uttar Pradesh. Initially, the sources said that the duo was shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara but they were later referred to GMC Anantnag for specialized treatment. Further details were awaited.
