SRINAGAR- J&K Bank lifted the 2nd Positive Kashmir Cup after defeating FC One 1-0 on Saturday evening at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
The match was a closely contested one with both teams fighting tooth and nail to get their hands on the trophy, as huge crowds watched the two sides battle it out under floodlights
J&K Bank scored the match’s only goal early in the first half after Furqan Zargar found the back of the net from a brilliant finish. FC One came out strongly in the second half of the match and tried to create goal-scoring chances. However, the Bank team stayed focused and was able to see the match through with conceding.
J&K Bank’s Furqan was named man of the match.
The event was attended by Div Com Kashmir P.K. Pole, IG BSF Raja Babu, DGM Law J&K Bank Saadat Hussain, Mentor Positive Kashmir Bharat Rawat and Zahoor Mir Director HK group.
The prize ceremony was overseen by Div Com Pole, with winners J&K Bank receiving a cash prize of INR 1 lakh and the runner ups, FC One, receiving a cash prize of INR 50 thousand.
Shafqat of FC One was adjudged man of the series and the top scorer of the tournament for his contribution in FC One’s road to the final. Furqan of FC One was adjudged as the best goalkeeper for his performances through the tournament.
The event was held by Positive Kashmir (NGO).
