Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have recovered a mother-child duo from Rajasthan, a week after they went missing.
“On 29-10-2022 Police station Budgam received a written complaint from one Ali Mohammad Dar resident of Chandpora Budgam stating therein that his sister and her daughter aged 02 years went missing since 27-10-2022,” a police spokesman said.
Upon this information, a missing report was registered at Police Station Budgam and search initiated, police said, adding that a special Police team constituted under the supervision of SHO Budgam Inspector Aftab Ahmed to trace out the mother-daughter duo acted swiftly, raided various locations and after strenuous efforts and working on various inputs, Police team traced out the missing duo from District Ganganagar, Rajasthan.
“Today they were brought safely to Budgam. After fulfilling all legal formalities, the mother daughter duo was handed over to their kins. Further investigation into the case is going on,” police said.
