SRINAGAR- J&K Bank and FC One on Thursday entered the finals of 2nd Positive Kashmir Invitational Football Tournament being played at Synthetic Turf TRC.
Two semifinal matches were played on Thursday, and in the first match, J&K Bank defeated Ali Jana FC 5-1. Bank’s talismanic striker Aakif Reshi scored a hat trick and was adjudged man of the match.
Nazir Ahmed, National Referee was the chief guest on the occasion.
In the second semifinal, FC One took on Downtown Heroes FC. The contest turned out to be a fiery one, with lots of spectators present for the match.
FC One took the lead in the first half via Mehran Hilal against the run of the play. FC One then doubled their lead in the second half with Shafqat scoring on the counter. Downtown Heroes were awarded a penalty which they were unable to convert, thus the final score read 2-0.
Furkan of FC One was adjudged man of the match.
Mahin Shah, Director Pinco Polymers was the chief guest on the occasion.
The final match is scheduled to be played between JK Bank and FC One on 5th November with kick off at 4:45 pm.
The tournament is organised by The Positive Kashmir, a valley based NGO.
