BARAMULLA- Nowpora Sports Development Forum organised Le Panga Khel Kabaddi Season 6 concluded on Monday at Tujjar Sharif Sopore where Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar presided over as the Chief Guest.
As many as 50 teams from across Kashmir province participated in the tournament and the Grand Finale was played between MidLine and Acme Sports Srinagar in which MidLine won by 30 points.
The DC while addressing the gathering said that sports act as the best platform where our talented youth can channelise their potential. She said various initiatives are being taken to promote sports culture among our enthusiastic and aspiring youth, adding that the administration is committed to develop sports infrastructure.
Interacting with the players, the DC said that games are vital for physical as well as mental fitness of individuals. Games also instil a positive and competitive spirit among the players, remarked the DC.
She also urged the youth to participate in sports activities with more zeal and vigour besides assured every possible assistance from the administration.
Meanwhile, the DC distributed the awards among the winners and other best performing players.
