Srinagar- The death of Maulana Muhammad Abbas Ansari is being widely condoled with people from all walks of life making a beeline to late leader’s residence in downtown Srinagar. Various Social, Educational and Religious bodies condoled his demise on Thursday.
Idara Falah-e-Aam, an organization working for the downtrodden in the society praised Ansari as a farsighted leader who would work for the poor people.
In a statement released by Idara Falah-e-Aam, Ansari was praised as a courageous leader who sacrificed his life for the welfare of the Kashmiris.
Pairwan-e-Wilayat Jammu & Kashmir also released a statement condoling the demise of Maulana Abbas Ansari.
Paiwan-e-Wilayat Chief Maulana Sibti Shabir described as a patron of unity among the Kashmiri Muslims and his death as an unrepairable loss to the Muslim community.
Chairman, Citizen Welfare Forum, Sumbal Syed Sajad Hussain described Ansari as a literary and a spiritual figure.
“He was an all-encompassing Islamic scholar and an accomplished expert literary figure. He spent his life in the service of the high teachings of the Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS)”.
Al- Masoomeen Yateem Trust organized a condolence meet to pay tributes to Ansari.
In a statement released by its General Secretary Muhammad Yousuf Khan, it paid tributes to the late leader for helping to educate those who couldn’t afford.
“Quranic verses were recited and prayers were held for the departed soul .In order to pay tributes to the Maulana Ansari, recitation of Quran will be held for forty days for the forgiveness and eternal peace of the departed soul”.
Intizamia Astana Babul Hawaij, Chattabal also held a condolence meet wherein rich tributes were paid to Maulana Abbas Ansari. Members praised the humanitarian works of the late cleric and prayed for the departed soul.
