Srinagar- Police on Monday started investigations into a fire incident at a migrant Kashmiri Pandit’s house in Handwara area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The house belonging to Janki Nath at village Batgund was damaged in a fire incident on Sunday, a police spokesperson said. The house, he said, was being used by two locals including Abdul Rashid War and Ghulam Hassan War with the consent of the owner for keeping grass and other dry materials, which appear to have caught fire.

The police said that an FSL team rushed to the spot at the same time and collected samples to ascertain the cause of fire and point of origin of the same. Further investigation into the matter is underway, it further added.
