SRINAGAR- Two matches of the rescheduled A-Division League 2022-23 were played on Tuesday at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
In the first match Alamdar FC defeated Shaheen FC by a solitary goal. The goal came via Suhail in the 26th minute of the first half. The scores remained the same till final whistle.
The second match was played between Young Down Town FC and Al-Hilal FC in which Young Down Town defeated Al-Hilal 1-0.
In the closely contested match, both the teams missed several scoring opportunities. However, Numan opened the account for Young Down Town in 14th minute of the match, and the scores remained the same for the rest of the match.
Later, DFA Srinagar announced that the fixtures for Wednesday, October 5, stand cancelled.
The tournament is being organised by DFA Srinagar in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. The tournament was on halt due to pending DFA Srinagar elections.
The next round of matches, according to the updated schedule, will take place on Thursday in which FC Nishat will go head-to-head against Madina Alamdar at 2:30 PM. The match is scheduled to take place at Bakshi Stadium.
