SRINAGAR- The 3rd J&K UT Level Carrom Championship concluded at Indoor Stadium Polo Ground here on Thursday.
More than 265 players from eleven districts of J&K participated in the event. The championship was organised by Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association in collaboration with Decathlon Sports India, and saw boys and girls, men and women of various age groups, including Senior, Junior, Sub Junior and Cadet, compete against each other. The champions of this championship will represent J&K in 50th (Golden Jubilee) Senior National Carrom Championship which will be held in Kalkotari Indoor Stadium, New Delhi
Ms Saloni (IAS), Director Industries & Commerce distributed the prices among winners and runners up, Zeeshan Khan (KAS), Assistant Director, Tourism Kashmir, Adil Rashid Shah, General Secretary, J&K Carrom Association, Adfar Jan, Jt Secretary/Organising Secretary, Arif Sultan, Dawar Rashid, members of J&K Carrom Association, Gulzar Khan President, District Budgam Carrom Association, Abid Khan, Sports Editor, Umain Zahoor, Decathlon Sports India and other members of the association were present during the closing ceremony of the event.
Cadet Boys: 1st Place – Salman, 2nd Place – Ziyan ul Haq, 3rd Place – Amaan Farooq
Cadet Girls: 1st Place – Halla Middha, 2nd Place – Khair ul Nissa, 3rd Place – Syed Soliha
Sub Junior Boys: 1st Place – Aiyan Nabi, 2nd Place – Mohd Ayaan, 3rd Place – Shayaan Ashiq
Sub Junior Girls: 1st Place – Zainab, 2nd Place: Aaliza, 3rd Place – Hurrain
Junior Boys: 1st Place – Zaid Aijaz, 2nd Place – Amaan Parvaiz, 3rd Place – Numan
Junior Girls: 1st Place – Muntazir Muneer, 2nd Place – Iram, 3rd Place – Nousheen
Senior Men: 1st Place – Furqan Nazir, 2nd Place – Arsalan Mehraj, 3rd Place – Romin Fayaz
Senior Women: 1st Place – Aqsa Jan, 2nd Place – Anzalna Rafiq, 3rd Place – Mehak Nabi
