SRINAGAR- J&K Police on Friday organised its ‘Pedal For Peace’ Cycle Race, which saw a massive participation of 2264 professional and non-professional cyclists.
Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh and Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Home Department J&K, R K Goyal graced the occasion at the Flag In presentation ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion the DGP expressed his gratitude to the senior officers of Police, Civil administration, people and above all the participants for making today’s event a grand success and bigger as compared to its previous seasons.
Addressing cyclists the DGP said that every pedal you do is changing the scenario of Jammu and Kashmir towards a new milestone of a more peaceful environment.
R K Goyal speaking on the occasion said the events of J&K Police always have a special charm and depict the vibrancy of the department. He congratulated DGP J&K, ADGP Armed and IGP Traffic for supervising and conducting the event in a befitting manner.

Senior Men above 17 years (ATB) Professional cyclists 1st prize was bagged by Suhaib Ul Mehraj of Srinagar Chest No.16 ₹50,000, 2nd by Zamin Hassan Mirza of Srinagar Chest No.01 ₹30,000, 3rd by Ameer Shafi of Srinagar Chest No.17 ₹25,000.
Winners among Senior Men above 17 years (MTB) cyclists 1st Dr. Akbar Khan of Budgam Chest No.227 ₹30,000, 2nd Adnan Bashir of Sopore Chest No.405 ₹25,000, 3rd Anish Dubey of Jammu Chest No.498 ₹20,000.
Winners among Girls above 14 years (MTB) cyclists 1st Priyanka of Haryana Chest No. 840 ₹30,000, 2nd Sara of Srinagar Chest No. 808 ₹25,000, 3rd Zoobiya Tariq of Srinagar Chest No. 833 ₹20,000.
Winners among Junior (Boys) U/17 years (MTB) cyclists 1st Jahangir Anger of Budgam Chest No. 728 ₹20,000, 2nd Mir Bahjiat Nawaz of Lal Bazar Chest No. 665 ₹15,000, 3rd Parvez Ahmad of Budgam Chest No. 523 ₹10,000.
Winners among Sub Junior (Boys) U/14 years (MTB) cyclists 1st Arfat Bashir of Baramulla Chest No. 1011 ₹15,000, 2nd Ikhlak Hussain of Budgam Chest No. 1102 ₹10,000, 3rd Wasif Ahmad of Srinagar Chest No. 1178 ₹5,000.
Winners among Sub Junior (Girls) U/14 years (MTB) cyclists 1st Yummna Parvaiz of Sgr. Chest No. 1551 ₹15,000/-, 2nd Nabila Khan of Sgr. Chest No. 1587 ₹10,000/-, 3rd Nawreen Zahoor of Ganderbal Chest No. 1575 ₹5,000.
