Srinagar- At least 28 more people tested positive for Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, taking the number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in the Union territory to 479046.
20 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus were registered from Kashmir Valley and the remaining eight from Jammu division, officials said. In the Valley, they said, Srinagar detected the highest eight new cases of virus, Kupwara 5, Pulwama 4, and Budgam 3.
In the winter capital, Samba reported a maximum of 4 new cases of virus, Jammu 3, and Ramban 1.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4785 in J&K—2352 in Jammu division and 2433 in the Valley, as no new fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 17 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 04 from Jammu division and 13 from Kashmir division,” they added.
