Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported 47 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in the Union Territory to 478806.
In the Valley, officials said, 34 new cases of Covid-19 were detected while 13 others were registered in Jammu division. In the Valley, they said, Srinagar detected the highest 22 new cases of virus, Budgam 6, Baramulla 5, and Anantnag 1. No new cases were reported from the remaining six districts of the Valley, including Pulwama, Kupwara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Kulgam and Shopian.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4784, as no fresh fatality due to the infection was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 73 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 20fromJammu division and 53 from Kashmir division,” they added.
