Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported 22 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus on Monday, taking the number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in the Union Territory to 478759.
According to officials, 13 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in Kashmir Valley and the remaining nine from Jammu division.
In the Valley, they said, Srinagar reported the highest 7 new cases of virus, Pulwama 3, Kulgam 2 and Baramulla 1. The remaining six districts of Budgam, Kupwara, Anantnag, Bandipora, Ganderbal and Shopian reported no fresh cases of Covid-19.
In the winter capital, officials said Jammu reported 4 new cases of virus, Udhampur and Ramban 2 each and Reasi 1. No new cases were detected in the remaining six districts of Rajouri, Doda, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar and Poonch.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4784 as no fresh fatality was reported from the union territory during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 106more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 16 from Jammu division and 90from Kashmir division,” they added.
