Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported 80 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus on Wednesday, taking the number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in the Union Territory to 478495.
According to officials, 70 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in Kashmir Valley and the remaining 10 from Jammu division.
In the Valley, they said, Budgam registered the highest 25 new cases of virus, Srinagar 21, Pulwama 8, Baramulla 6, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 3 and Bandipora 2. The three districts of Ganderbal, Kulgam and Shopian detected no new cases of Coronavirus.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu reported a maximum of 5 new cases of infection, Udhampur 3 and one each in Doda and Samba. No new cases were reported from six other districts of Rajouri, Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban and Reasi.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4783, as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 121 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 22fromJammu division and 99from Kashmir division,” they added.
