Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported 137 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus on Saturday, taking the number of people infected since the onset of pandemic to 478220 in the Union Territory.
While Kashmir registered 109 new cases of Covid-19, the remaining 28 were recorded from Jammu division, officials said.
In the Valley, they said, Srinagar reported the highest 39 new cases of Coronavirus, Budgam 22, Baramulla 18, Kulgam 14, Pulwama 7, Kupwara 4, Bandipora and Ganderbal 2 each and Anantnag 1. Shopian was the only district in the Valley with no new cases of Covid-19.
In the winter capital, they said, Jammu registered a maximum of 10 new cases of virus, Samba 9, Kishtwar 4, Poonch and Doda 2 each and Rajouri1. The remaining four districts of Udhampur, Kathua, Ramban and Reasi reported no fresh cases of infection.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4,782 as no new fatality due to the virus was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 210 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 36 from Jammu division and 174 from Kashmir division,” they added.
