Srinagar- A couple was injured on Saturday after an unexploded shell went off in a remote village of Tangdhar in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Ghulam Yahya, son of Habibullah and his wife Zulekha Begum sustained injuries when an old shell exploded in Kuth Nard Bahek in Karnah area of the district on Saturday afternoon, reports said. The couple was reportedly on their way to the forest area to graze their cattle when the explosion took place.
According to reports, the injured couple was removed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, the doctors there referred them to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.
