Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir registered 185 new cases of Coronavirus on Saturday while no fresh fatality due to the virus was reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, Kashmir Valley detected 148 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while 37 others were registered from different districts of Jammu Division, thus taking the total number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in J&K to 477304.
Giving district wise-details, they said that Srinagar reported the highest 45 new cases of virus in Valley followed by Baramulla with 27, Kulgam 19, Budgam and Bandipora17 each, Kupwara 9, Pulwama 5, Anantnag 4, Ganderbal 3 and Shopian 2.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu reported a maximum of 23 new cases of infection, Ramban 7, Samba 3, Kathua 2, Doda and Reasi one each. No new cases were reported from the remaining four districts of Udhampur, Rajouri, Kishtwar and Poonch.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4782, as no fresh fatality due to virus was reported during the last 24hours in J&K.
Besides, they said, 329 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—45 from Jammu division and 284 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 1691 active cases— 321 in Jammu and 1370 in Kashmir.
