Seek Admin’s Intervention
Pulwama- The residents of Mohalla Banimpora in the famous village of Ratnipora in District Pulwama are dismayed over the inertia of the local Jal Shakti Department which has rendered the oft-repeated “ Har Ghar Nal Say Jel” programme a cruel joke for them.
The locals urged the district administration to send some responsible officer to see their plight personally as they have failed to get any positive response from the department despite having approached them umpteen times personally and also through all available media.
A water supply scheme devised for them at the nearby village of Gulbugh has been languishing for about a decade now and neither the filtration plant is completed nor even the raw water is supplied to these hapless people from the scheme except for a small area out of the entire target population.
The department has been brazenly realizing water tax from them year after year without showing any seriousness towards their genuine demand of theirs.
The people have appealed to Development Commissioner Pulwama to get the veracity of the fact certified and direct the concerned department to display their acumen to resolve the problem which is now overdue and uniquely chronic.
