Srinagar- The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid on Thursday suspended 22 employees for remaining unauthorizedly absent from their duties.
In order to check attendance of employees, the DC conducted surprise inspections of various government offices including Tehsil Office Budgam, an official spokesperson said.
During the inspection at Tehsil Office, he said, 20 employees were found unauthorizedly absent from duties. Similarly, while checking the attendance at Government Primary School Paller, two teachers were found unauthorizedly absent from their duties.
The absent employees were placed under suspension immediately.
The DC stressed on 100 percent attendance at all offices and directed all employees to attend their duties regularly in letter and spirit.
He warned that strict action shall be taken as per the law against employees for their unauthorized absence from duties.
The DC also observed that cleanliness is not up to the mark in offices. He instructed that proper sanitation and cleanliness shall be maintained in and outside premises of all Government offices.
