Srinagar- Two civilians were injured on Monday in a grenade blast in Sangam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Amir Ahmad Lone and Shakeel Ahmad Lone received splinter injuries when unknown militants lobbed a grenade towards Central Reserve Police Force (CFPF) personnel in Sangam area of the district on Monday evening, reports said. The grenade, reports said, missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside leaving the two civilians injured.
Both the injured were removed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is said to be stable, a local news agency GNS reported.
Soon after the attack, police and additional reinforcements reached the area and launched a manhunt to nab the attackers.
