Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir registered 315 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus on Friday while no fresh fatality was reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, Kashmir Valley detected 274 new cases of Covid-19 while 41 others were registered from various districts of Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the onset of the pandemic in J&K to 475424.
In the Valley, they said, Srinagar reported the highest 103 fresh cases of virus, Baramulla 55, Budgam and Kulgam 28 each, Kupwara 17, Pulwama 14, Anantnag 13, Bandipora and Ganderbal 7 each and Shopian 2.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu detected a maximum of 27 new cases of infection, Poonch and Ramban four each, Doda 3, Kathua 2 and Rajouri 1. No cases were reported from the remaining four districts of Udhampur, Samba, Kishtwar and Reasi.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4779 in J&K as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 480 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 70 from Jammu division and 410 from Kashmir division,” they added.
