Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir registered on Saturday 622 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus, even as no fatality was reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.
According to officials, Kashmir Valley reported 545 new cases of Covid-19 while 77 others were detected from various districts of Jammu division, taking the number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in J&K to
473219.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 212 new cases of virus, Baramulla 110, Budgam and Kupwara 62 each, Kulgam 27, Anantnag 24, Bandipora and Pulwama 16 each, Ganderbal 14 and Shopian 2.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu reported a maximum of 42 new cases of infection, Kishtwar 13, Rajouri and Ramban 5 each, Udhampur and Kathua 3 each, two each in Doda and Poonch and one each in Samba and Reasi.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4777 as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 777 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 185 from Jammu division and 592from Kashmir division,” they added.
