Srinagar- Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura in collaboration with Social welfare committee, Zoonimar today held a blood donation camp which was inaugurated by the Director, SKIMS Dr. Pervaiz Koul.
Several people attended the blood donation camp, including volunteers who had come to donate their blood on the occasion.
On the occasion, more than 50 pints of blood were collected and the same was handed over to SKIMS, Soura for their use in the case of any emergency.
“We are happy that such events are being held voluntarily and people are coming to donate blood; more such events should be held in the future and there is a need for making blood donation a healthy habit,” Dr. Koul said.
The event was also attended by Tehsildar Eidgah while as the Chairman of Social welfare committee, Zoonimar, Firdous Ahmad was also in attendance who also talked about the importance of blood donation and holding more such events in the future for helping those who are in need.
