Srinagar- A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was detained at the Srinagar International Airport on Saturday after airport security recovered live rounds and a tear gas shell from his baggage.
Constable Rana Pratap of 161Bn CRPF was detained on Saturday morning at the drop gate of Srinagar International Airport after the security personnel found two live AK rounds, 1 INSAS round and 1 teargas smoking shell from his baggage during screening, reports said.
Pratap, who is currently posted in Dalgate area of the city, was later handed over to police post Humhama.
According to reports, the CRPF constable was to fly to his home city Ranchi in an Indigo flight before he was detained.
