Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered a stone idol of a Hindu god from a brick kiln in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, reports said Tuesday.
On the basis of specific inputs, cops from Police Station Budgam carried out a search of the brick kiln B-11 in Gadusathu area of the district and recovered the sculpture.
If sources are to be believed the sculpture is of ‘Shambu’.
A local news agency KNT quoted an unnamed police officer as saying that Archeological Survey of India officials will be called to ascertain the details of the stone sculpture.
