Srinagar- The Lakes conservation and Management Authority (LCMA)on Tuesday started a special cleanliness drive for 10 days in connection with Muharram ul Haram in Moti Mohalla of Dal Lake.
Collector LCMA, Project Officer LCMA, other engineers and staff were present in the drive. The main focus of this drive is to go for the cleanliness in the hamlets inside the Dal Lake.
Meanwhile, LCMA continued demolition drives against illegal constructions on Tuesday through its Enforcement Wing in the areas of Baba Demb and Shahdad bagh.
During the drive, one under construction second storey being illegally constructed was demolished besides one tin shed wooden structure was razed to ground.
Moreover, illegally dumped earth filling in the area of Laam was removed.
“Legal action was also initiated against the violators” LCMA in a statement said.
