Srinagar- After a dispute over rent with bank authorities, Anjuman-e-Sharie Shiayan Tuesday sealed the local branch of Jammu Kashmir Bank in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The local Auqaf Committee run by the socio-religious organization sealed the bank branch during morning hours.
A top leader from Anjuman declined to comment over the issue saying it is an internal matter.
When contacted, the Circle Head, JK Bank told news agency Kashmir News Trust that they are in correspondence with the Anjuman Sharie and hopefully the issue will be resolved and the branch will open.
He said there is an issue with regard to the rent and the bank authorities are in touch with the proprietors of the building and the premises. (KNT)
