SRINAGAR- The J&K Bank football team recently regularized a number of its first team players, prompting the Jammu & Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) to thank the Bank management.
“JKFA expresses sincere thanks to MD and CEO J&K Bank for regularizing the services of Aakif Reshi, Azhar Ali, Faisal Thoker, Furqan Zargar, Rohit Kalsotra, Md. Uneeb Wani, Towfeeq Ahmad, Shahid Mushtaq, Waris Amin and Farhan Ganai, football players of the J&K Bank, who were working on contractual basis from last so many years,” the FA said in a statement.
“The Association is grateful to the Chairman Sports Board, J&K Bank, who has taken the initiative to meet the long pending demand of the above named footballers who have brought laurels to the UT and were instrumental in raising the name & fame of J&K Bank Football Team. JKFA congratulates these players for being the regular employees of the bank,” the statement added.
“JKFA requests the heads of other Government Departments, like Food & Supplies Department, J&K SRTC, J&K Forest Department, etc., to kindly regularize the football players working in their departments on contractual basis for a pretty long time. It will be a great gesture on their part and this will encourage the Football Players of these Departments,” the JKFA statement concluded.
