Srinagar- At least 71 more people tested positive for Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday while no fresh fatality due to virus was reported across the Union Territory during the last 24hours.
Kashmir Valley detected 27 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while 44 were registered in Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected in J&K since the outbreak of pandemic to 456151, officials said.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 21 new cases of Covid-19 while six others were registered in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. The remaining eight districts reported no new cases of virus.
In the winter capital, they said, 44 new cases of infection were reported in Jammu district and one in Samba. No fresh cases of Covid-19 were detected in the remaining eight districts of the province.
“Moreover, 68 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 50 from Jammu division and 18from Kashmir division,” the officials added.
