Srinagar- Two militants including JeM Commander Kaiser Koka were killed in an encounter with government forces at Wandakpora area of Awantipora in South Kashmir on Monday.
An official said that a cordon and search operation was launched in Wandakpora area of Awantipora after reports of presence of militants there.
He said that as government forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter. He said during exchange of fire, two militants were killed.
ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar identified one of the slain militants as Kaisar Koka. Koka was active since 2018.
