Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported on Monday 58 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 30 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the Jammu division and 28 others in the Valley, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K to 455391.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 25 new cases of Coronavirus and Baramulla, Kupwara and Kulgam reported one case each. No new cases of infection were detected in the remaining six districts of the Valley.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu registered a maximum of 18 fresh cases of virus, Kathua six, Udhampur three, and Rajouri one.
Also, the officials said that one more person died of Covid-19 related complications in Jammu division, raising the death toll in the pandemic to 4757 in J&K—2332 in Jammu and 2425 in Kashmir.
“Moreover, 58 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 46 from Jammu division and 12 from Kashmir division,” they added.
