Anantnag- A middle-aged man was killed after being hit by a train in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday, official sources said.
They said Abdul Hameed Sheikh of Charsoo Awantipora came under the moving train near Melhura Zainapora area of Shopian, resulting in his instant death. The body was later on shifted by railway police to Bijbehara hospital for medico-legal formalities.
A police official in the meantime also confirmed the incident to a local news agency GNS.
